Priston Mill became the new centre for a large number of people when the first Filling Station here opened on Tuesday. There is every intention for this to become a regular monthly evening meeting place. (For more information -

Having enjoyed sampling a wonderful but priceless 1993 Grand Cru Clos des Lamrays, whilst wine tasting in Burgundy, I am now more conscious than ever that the wines we offer at Priston Mill are very good value - excellent wines at affordable prices. Our 2009 list starts at £12.35 for Coldridge Estate (South Eastern Australia) Semillon Chardonnay and the Coldridge Estate Shiraz Cabernet. On reviewing our selection of wines with renewed interest following my return from Beaune, I was pleased to remind myself that we have a couple of white Burgundy choices too - Macon-Lugny, Louis Latour at £16.50 and Chablis, Domaine Vocoret at £18.50 a bottle. Perhaps, purely in the interest of the business of course, I should remind myself of their taste......
I don’t expect the Bride
this weekend will notice, as she sweeps up the stairs to take her vows on the Tythe
Barn mezzanine, that a smart new carpet has been laid. She will no doubt have eyes just for the Groom. However, I am sure it is
this attention to detail that attracts new couples to book wedding with us- as they see for themselves our
dedication to continually maintain and improve standards.
