Honor’s worked here for 30 years and is now moving on to enjoy some well earned free time. She has been held in affection by three generations of Hopwoods - my in-laws, us and our daughters. We wish her well and thank her for all she has done at Priston Mill.
We are already missing her infectious enthusiasm for all things and her ready rapport with everyone she made contact with. The farmhouse animals were always drawn to her too. The cats (Dotty, Vanilla and Sooty) invariably ended up snoozing in her office & Jess our Springer Spaniel loved their lunch time walks. Jess cleverly, with noisy barking, trained Honor to throw sticks & stones whenever it suited her.
We miss Honor's bookkeeping skills as well of course! - and especially remember how she rose brilliantly to the challenge of using computers when they were the last thing that she wanted to get involved with.
It’s great to see Honor, in this recent photo, looking so relaxed and chilled out. It just goes to show that working at Priston Mill must be good for you…. or…. is the happy expression because she knew she was soon leaving…….
