Emma & Roger wanted a yellow themed Easter wedding and they will certainly have one in more ways than expected. By next week the unseasonal wonderfully warm weather will have brought on the rape early and turned the fields surrounding Priston Mill a glorious canary colour.
A starter from the Moulin menu went down a treat this weekend. Pheasant, Venison & Pigeon Terrine with Apricots & Pistachios served with Granary Bread. The marvellous combination of flavours was set off perfectly with one of Andy Padbury’s tasty chutneys……..
Without fail the events managers (Paul, Helen & Davy), chefs (Jonno, Martin & Andy) and all the waiting staff (too many to mention by name) do a brilliant job. There is not an event that goes by without compliments. This week was no exception with parents of one bride effusively telling us straight after the reception how impressed they hade been with the professional, friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic young people that work here at Priston Mill. Well deserved thanks to one and all. :-)
A couple viewing the venues this weekend remarked that it was difficult to get a feel from our brochure of how attractively rural the location here at Priston Mill is. With the city of Bath just a few miles away Priston Mill is approached along a country lane and found nestled in a quiet valley alongside a small stream surrounded by acres of farmland. Perfect.......
It was only the 1st of March but the lawns here at Priston Mill were definitely ready for their first cut of the year. Even with the usual technical hiccups, involving resuscitating the happily hibernating mowers, by the end of the day Les had them finished ready for the Saturday weddings.
