The cake was made by Ryan Blackman who has been a chef with PM Hospitality (the hospitality and catering company at Priston Mill and Coombe Lodge) for 5 years. Ryan’s long-term plan is to run his own business making bespoke cakes especially for weddings and special occasions. Having seen this example of his capabilities I have no doubt that he will be in great demand.
There were 5 kilos of chocolate icing, 10 kilos of chocolate and a bottle of Bayleys in the making of this cake!. No wonder it ended up weighing about 30 Kilos and needing 2 young men to carry it out of the room!
