It's always the detail that makes each wedding individual and memorable for every wedding couple. Take a look, for example, at these lovely ceramic figurines made by the bride's mother and placed alongside flowers in the niche behind the top table.
It won't be long now before the chefs start considering the 2015 menus. The Lemon Posset, from the To Dine menu photographed above, is surely going to stay. It is absolutely delicious and has a lovely smooth texture that is perfectly complimented by the crunchy granola topping. The new menus will be finalised by the end of Decemeber and we will then send copies to couples who have already booked.
We always seem to be looking ahead, as we get caught up with wedding couples as they make plans for their future. This week, however, we found ourselves reminiscing as this September marks the 50th anniversary of the Hopwood family moving into Priston Mill Farm. One of the photos we came across was an aerial shot taken of the farm buildings in 1964. The 'millpond' was completely grown over then - and if you have been to Priston Mill recently you may spot a number of other differences!
One of the evening buffet menus which is a popular choice now is our On Toast selection. In the photo above you can see 3 of the options available. On Toast with sweet potato falafel and tsatsiki, On Toast with pulled pork and Dijon mustard and in the foreground On Toast with salt beef, aged Cheddar, celeriac and wholegrain mustard. A real treat :-)
I had a request last week for a photo of the play area - so here it is! The photo is a little out of date as we have since replaced the slide with a new green one. Most young guests are just happy to fit in with the celebrations as they unfold but if you are looking for ways to entertain them you could, like a number of couples have done recently, hire games for use in the gardens - giant jenga, connect 4, etc
